Welcome to Purple Tree Pets, a small suburban farm and creative studio located on the stunning South coast of NSW. As a passionate animal lover and skilled graphic designer, I’ve combined my expertise in developing a unique haven where creative design meets animal care. With a background in animal care and experience working at various animal facilities, I’m dedicated to sharing my knowledge on pet care with you.

In our online shop, you’ll discover a curated collection of custom pet creations, carefully designed and crafted in my studio. During the warmer months, our farm store will also offer fertile hatching eggs from our happy and healthy poultry, perfect for those looking to start or expand their own backyard flock. I have a background in graphic design and other creative ventures. You will see our pet related creations listed for sale in our online store which I have personally designed and created myself.
Our Pets
We care for and breed beautiful and rare Buff Orpington Ducks. They are an attractive breed of waterfowl and are considered to be a threatened species of duck.
Orpington ducks will be sure to entertain you as they happily forage in the garden and splash around in their provided water source. Learn More
We also have some lovely chickens including Silkies, and our free range rainbow layers which include Araucanas, Marans, olive and easter eggers. We will have fertile eggs available to purchase from our online store.
Our other pets include our two dogs, a munchkin cat, guinea pigs, and assorted aquatic pets.
I have attained a certificate in animal care studies and have volunteered at various wildlife organisations and veterinary clinics. I am currently studying to become a veterinary nurse.

Our Name
Purple Tree Pets was previously known as Going Quackers. We’ve had a name change in 2024 to incorporate some of our other pet related ventures into the one website. The name was inspired by the giant jacaranda trees that hang over our barn and provide shelter to wildlife.
While Jacarandas are not native to Australia, they have become naturalised in many parts of the country and are a common sight in many parks, gardens and streets.
In Australia, Jacaranda trees typically bloom in late spring to early summer. Our Jacaranda trees usually flower around the same time that our poultry is in the prime of their breeding season. It is the most exciting time of year on our farm when everything comes alive and our chickens and ducks are laying consistently.
However, it is not long before the flowers have all dropped off and there is a blanket of purple covering the ground. Then the cycle starts again…
