About The Owner


Hello. My name is Kirsten. I am the owner, creator and blog author at Purple Tree Pets.

I’ve always had a strong interest and passion for animal care. Nothing makes me happier than being able to help animals in need.

I have worked and volunteered at various animal and wildlife organisations including Wildlife Rescue South Coast, Wirrimbirra Wildlife Sanctuary, Symbio Zoo and local veterinary clinics.

I have a lot of experience caring for a menagerie of pets, including dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I have been raising and caring for poultry for over 15 years.

Since completing my veterinary nursing qualifications I have continued with professional development in animal naturopathy and other complementary therapies to further expand my knowledge and expertise in holistic pet care.

I am also a member of the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia, which provides me with professional support for vet nurses, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and assists me with maintaining the standards for excellence in animal care.
